SJ’s tilting X2000 links Stockholm with Malmö and the Øresund gateway at up to 200 km/h. Sweden’s flagship fast run down the Southern Main Line.

The X2000’s southern marathon runs the 1864 Southern Main Line from the capital to the Öresund, tilting through Sörmland’s lakes, the plains of Östergötland and the deep spruce of the Småland highlands before Skåne’s open farmland announces the end. Malmö Central sits a bridge away from Copenhagen, which is the route’s quiet superpower: many passengers stay aboard connections straight over the water. Four and a half hours, with the classic Swedish bistro serving köttbullar at 200 km/h.
