A surviving piece of the Great Western’s Watlington branch at the foot of the Chilterns, reopened to passengers in 1994 and reconnected to the main line at Princes Risborough in 2016.
This was part of the Great Western’s Watlington branch, which lost its passenger trains in 1957; the section from Chinnor to Princes Risborough survived on cement traffic until 1989. Volunteers formed an association that year, ran their first works train in 1991 and began carrying passengers in August 1994, reaching Thame Junction by 1996. The line was reconnected to the main line at Princes Risborough on 21 February 2016, and its trains have used the rebuilt platform 4 there since 2018.
