The Oldenburg south line through Vechta and Lohne, built in four pieces between 1888 and 1 May 1900, and still eighty kilometres an hour the whole way.
A single unelectrified track across Lower Saxony, opened in four pieces: Vechta–Lohne in 1888 as part of the Ahlhorn–Vechta railway, Delmenhorst–Vechta on 1 May 1898, Lohne–Neuenkirchen on 1 November 1899, and the last stretch to Hesepe on 1 May 1900. NordWestBahn has run the trains since November 2000, on a contract that continues to December 2026.
