Up the Liri from Roccasecca by Arce, Sora and Balsorano into the Fucino basin; eighteen years from the first section in 1884 to the last on 20 August 1902.
Known as the Ferrovia del Liri, this single unelectrified track leaves Avezzano and crosses the Valle Roveto, then follows the floor of the Liri valley through Sora to meet the Rome–Naples main line at Roccasecca. Trenitalia regionale railcars take just under two hours over the 80 km.
