Amiens–Rouen railway

Opened complete on 18 April 1867 rather than in stages, and still the cross country way from Picardy into Normandy by Poix-de-Picardie, Abancourt and Serqueux.

Amiens and Rouen were joined in 1867, and the 114 km line waited until 27 August 1984 for its 25 kV electrification. It runs on automatic block of the restrained-permissivity type, and since the 1990s that signalling has been an increasingly poor fit for the mixture of passenger and freight the route carries. TER Hauts-de-France works it in about an hour and a half.
